Entertainment Services

 

All entertainment services are offered individually to utilize the entertainer's full skill level. However, we know how exciting is to book as many services as possible to keep the littlies entertained, in this case the amount of detail will vary based on the number of participants and duration of the booking.

A $50 deposit is required upon booking to secure date and time. The deposit is non-refundable as other booking requests for the same time will be declined.

The balance must be paid via bank transfer 7 days prior to the event or via cash on the event day before the entertainer commences working. Short notice bookings (less than 7 days notice) are accepted, however full payment will be required.

We will travel anywhere to bring some colour and fun to your event, though a travel fee will occur outside of a 15km radius, which will be included in your quote.

Balloon Arrangements

 

50% of the total payment must be paid upon booking; this is non-refundable as it will be used to order materials or trial on hand inventory, all foils are inflated and checked in advance for leaks and replaced if needed. The balance is to be paid no later than 7 days prior to event date. 

We do not have a delivery option available. Pick is from Wantirna South. Appropriate Transportaion is needed, in particular for larger arrangements.

We stock a wide range of themed balloons however if we don't have what you need, we will happily order it in specially for you though the cost of this will need to be covered by you. If we have ordered balloons especially for you and cancellation occurs prior to the standard 7-day period, the deposit will be refunded excluding the amount for of that order.

All new balloon arrangement designs are trialled and tested before advertising to see the lasting duration of inflation. It is recommended that balloons are removed from bags immediately upon reaching your destination and stored at room temperature. Please be aware that hotter temperature causes helium to expand and it may result in the balloon bursting (a little slack is left to help with this). Cooler temperature including air conditioning will cause helium to contract and therefore shrink the balloon or make it appear as though it has not been fully inflated, rest assured it has been. Foil balloons will expand again once placed in standard room temperature. Hotter temperature will cause the balloon to oxidize and vibrancy/shine will appear as a more matte and muted color. 
Balloon and Brush do not offer refunds for any weather mishaps.

Foils are inflated 2-3 days in advance to check for leaks to allow time to replace if needed. Orders within 24 hours will not be able to be checked and will not be guaranteed of standard lasting time. No refunds will be offered in this circumstance.

It is recommended that if arrangements are being displayed on grass or concrete that something is placed underneath it to work as a barrier from anything sharp or pointy that may pop the balloons.

*Float life: Air filled balloons are prone to deflation before helium filled balloons. Standard Latex helium balloon lifespan is 7-12 hours. Hifloat may be requested added to expand the lifespan to 2-3 days for and can be added for $5. 

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Uninflated or broken balloons are a choking hazard and inflated balloons can also cause pain if they burst directly on skin. It is imperative that children are supervised by parents/guardians at all times.

Face Paint, Glitter Tattoos & Balloon Twisting

​

Though all products are FDA approved, in rare cases allergies may occur - parental discretion is advised and a patch test may be requested. Please note: some colours may stain skin slightly and will take a few days to fade. Face paint should be removed before bedtime. This can be removed with warm soapy water, baby oil or makeup remover.

Glitter tattoos can be applied on children 3 years old + and will last up to 1 week and can be removed by applying moisturiser or baby oil. Allow it to soak in and rub gently. 

Children under 2 years will not be painted as their skin may be a little more sensitive than that of older children.

Children who show cold and flu-like symptoms, head lice, pink eye, open sores, rashes or anything considered contagious will not be painted to avoid the spread of germs and possibly contaminating products and equipment. So the child does not feel left out, we offer to paint a design on their arm (unless there is a rash or open sores).

Children who are resistant to being painted will not be painted, participants must be willing.

Privacy & Safety

Any entertainer who represents B&B has a Working with Children’s Check, Public Liability Insurance and only use professional FDA approved products on your littlies skin. We also have all the equipment we need to set up and start entertaining at the starting time requested, the only thing we require is cover for those hot or rainy Melbourne days. At Balloon and Brush we strive for inclusivity and respect the privacy of our little clients and other guests at the event we are attending. It is the expectation that any entertainers attending an event to be shown the same respect in return. We have a zero tolerance policy for bullying, invasion of privacy or discrimination of any kind. We are simply there to bring joy to the kids.

Photos & Social Media

Photos of children will only be posted on our Facebook and Instagram accounts if a parent provides verbal permission to do so.

Payment

Quotes vary depending on individual needs. Regarding entertainment it is better value for money the more time that is booked.

Day rate: 9am - 4pm

Evening rate: 5pm - 9pm

(If original booking times change to the alternate rate period the quote will be adjusted)

Travel Fees

For Kids Entertainment, a travel fee will apply outside of a 15km radius and will be included in the quote provided if applicable.
